Jackdaws & Magpies Blue Woodland Cotton-Linen Fabric
This cotton-linen bird fabric is part of The Woodland Collection, featuring magpie and jackdaw motifs illustrated by Nat Gwilliams on blue. This fabric would be ideal for home sewing projects, including cushion covers, curtains, lampshades, tea towels and table cloths.
Designed in 2026 by Nat Gwilliams
I am a UK based illustrator and the fabric is printed in the UK. The artwork was inspired by photographs of birds taken at museums around the UK and mischievous magpies and clever jackdaws playing on the rooftops of the estate where I live. Their raucious racket and rivalries keep me entertained when I'm working from home. The birds were hand-drawn in fine-liner, before being digitised, coloured and printed on Better Cotton Initiative certified mediumweight luxury cotton-linen using OEKO-TEX Eco Passport certified ink.
